The 17th World Elevator & Escalator Expo (WEE EXPO 2026) opened its doors from May 20 to 23, 2026, at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou — a city that last hosted this flagship event 12 years ago. Organized by the China Elevator Association, the expo drew more than 1,000 exhibitors from over 30 countries across a sprawling 100,000-square-meter exhibition floor, with professional attendance exceeding 100,000 visitors. A defining theme of this edition was the convergence of artificial intelligence with elevator technology, with dozens of exhibitors unveiling AI-powered control systems, predictive maintenance platforms, and smart building integration solutions that point squarely toward the industry's next chapter.
For VITIN, participating in WEE EXPO 2026 was a homecoming of sorts — a chance to stand alongside the world's leading elevator brands and demonstrate exactly what our products, production capacity, and global service model are built to deliver.
What VITIN Brought to the Show Floor
Our exhibition covered the full scope of the VITIN product ecosystem. Visitors to the VITIN booth explored offerings from both business arms — VITIN Accessories Company and VITIN Elevator Technology Company — spanning complete elevator and escalator systems, control components, door systems, and a broad catalog of precision accessories designed for both new installations and modernization projects.
A centerpiece of the display was VITIN's elevator guide rail range. With an annual self-branded production capacity of 100,000 tons, VITIN is one of the few manufacturers in this space that can credibly offer both the product and the supply chain depth behind it. That combination — quality product backed by serious manufacturing infrastructure — resonated strongly with procurement teams and large-scale project developers walking the floor.
Beyond the hardware, what drew sustained attention at our booth was the conversation around partnership models. International distributors and regional agents were particularly interested in how VITIN structures long-term supply relationships — consistent lead times, customization capability, and the after-sales infrastructure that makes a supplier a true partner rather than just a vendor.
Why Guangzhou Mattered for This Edition
The decision to bring WEE EXPO back to Guangzhou after 12 years was strategically significant, and the location paid dividends for exhibitors with international ambitions. Guangzhou sits at the center of the Pearl River Delta manufacturing corridor and serves as the commercial gateway to Southeast Asia, South Asia, and the Middle East — precisely the growth markets where demand for elevator and escalator products is accelerating fastest.
For VITIN, this geographic positioning translated directly into booth traffic quality. A notably higher proportion of our visitor conversations were with international buyers — from Vietnam, Indonesia, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and several African markets — compared to previous editions held further north. These are markets where VITIN already has a presence, and WEE EXPO 2026 gave us a concentrated opportunity to deepen those relationships and open new ones in person.
Takeaways from Four Days on the Ground
Industry exhibitions reveal things that no market report can — what buyers are actually asking for, where the friction points are in supply chains, and which product capabilities matter most right now. Several clear signals emerged from our conversations at WEE EXPO 2026:
- Supply reliability is a top-tier concern. In the wake of recent global logistics disruptions, buyers across every region placed exceptional emphasis on supplier stability — consistent lead times, transparent inventory, and proven export track records. VITIN's annual export volume of over 800 containers across 50+ countries provided a credible answer to those questions.
- Modernization demand is growing. A significant portion of inquiries came not from new construction projects but from building owners and contractors looking to upgrade aging elevator systems. This segment is expanding rapidly, particularly in Europe and the Middle East, and VITIN's accessories range is well positioned to serve it.
- AI integration is moving from concept to specification. Several buyers were already asking whether VITIN's control and monitoring components were compatible with AI-based building management platforms — a question that would have been rare two years ago. It confirmed that the expo's thematic emphasis on AI was not just marketing; it reflected real procurement conversations happening right now.
Looking Ahead
WEE EXPO 2026 concluded as one of the most productive industry events VITIN has attended in recent years. The leads generated, relationships reinforced, and market intelligence gathered over those four days will directly shape our product development priorities and regional focus for the next two years.
We extend our genuine appreciation to every visitor, partner, and industry colleague who spent time with our team at the show. If you were unable to connect with us in Guangzhou — or if a conversation at the booth has sparked further interest — we welcome you to reach out directly. The VITIN team is ready to continue the dialogue.
